What Makes Blue Sky Meadow Outdoor Science School Unique?

 

 

Blue Sky Meadow Outdoor Science School is proud to offer an outdoor school experience above and beyond.  All of our Naturalist Instructors have either science or teaching degrees, and we work together to develop sound science knowledge balanced with great teaching and leadership skills.  Our site, located in the midst of the San Bernardino National Forest, is one of the few places in California that can boast a pure ecosystem, free of invasive species or over-developement, making it a choice space for introducing visitors to the wonders of the natural world.  We update our teaching programs regularly to stay on top of the latest in teaching techniques, making sure that our students get the best, most in-depth, and long-lasting learning experiences possible.  For more on our latest teaching methods, view our Lawrence Hall of Science page.  At Blue Sky Meadow, we do not teach cookie-cutter lessons out of a box.  Each Naturalist Instructor develops a comprehensive week-long program which integrates team-building, in-depth ecosystem investigations, critical thinking, and nature exploration, catered specifically to the needs of each group.  We encourage teachers to make requests - whatever topics or developmental activity you feel is most important for your group of students, we are here to provide that experience!
